AA

AA (Double-A) refers to one of the classifications within minor league baseball. Though it is loosely considered a lower tier than AAA, players frequently will jump from this division into Major League Baseball. Compared to AAA, it is less likely players will be playing against veteran players. Each MLB team is affiliated with an AA team; unlike AAA, these teams are generally not in the same geographic area.
